Post White Flashes and all Games Freezing, Audio Skipping
Hi everyone, i need some help so please any adequate suggestions would be tops!!!

so i have had this computer for about 4 years and installed a 7300gs and an extra gig of ram about 3 years back and have been pleased with its okay performance on the following games
-Age of Empires 3 + expansions
-Spore
-Rome and Medival Total war 2
I set the graphics on each game to low so that i can get a good 20-30 fps, that is without AA, shadows, Bloom, just stuff that wouldnt give me a poor frame rate.

But then i installed Battlefield 2 5 days ago and set it to high without AA, about 20 fps, for about 3 days it was running fine, then it froze. But the audio was still running but skipping, sometimes it would go back to normal then about nother 30 seconds in would do the same again. Both were happeining about 4 minutes into the game, no error messages or anything. So after shutting it down and turining it on again, i found that any game i ran was emitting these little white specks that were flashing quickly and then freezing again. But it wasnt just happeining with BF2 but every game that was working well beforehand.

I have since uninstalled and got rid o BF2 thinking that was the source of the problem, but it was not successful so i installed all updates, drivers direct x. but still is freezing and being ****.

so there is my situation, please anyone HELP ME! or i might have to get an entire new system as a last resort, i love playing these games, now its like its been taken away from me by that slut BF2! can anyone help me?!?

I would suggest it has nothibg to do with BF2. From the sound of it, your graphics card may well have poped its clogs As it happens with everything, it would suggest the card is artifacting under load- it may well be that the fan is dirty and needs a clean, or you may be able to get a replacement. If you can try a different card, it would confirm whether the card is dead

It does sound like a bad case of artifacting. If there was more than a bit of dirt on th ecard, it could be the heat has gotten a bit high and killed the card. Not killed as in doesnt work, but it has broken, effectively the same thing as it will only get worse. I suggest a new card, but see if anyone else has some ideas
