My machine plays the Sims pretty good. I have HP Pavilion,P4(2.6GHz) 1GB RAM,and a GeForce 5200 running Windows XP Home SP3. Practically the same except for the RAM.

If it is Sims 2, there are SO many things it could be. To fix my problems, I had to uninstall ALL my expansions and then reinstall them 1 by 1. I have done this around 3 times. Look around on this forum, there are SO many other people with Sims 2 errors, try reading their posts and perhaps there would be a solution?
Hope this helps
James

I have the Sims(with most expansion packs),the Sims2(with some expansion packs), and the Sims Life Stories on my machine. All play with no problems.

Thanks for your help, it turns out that uninstalling Sims, then deleting all the remnants of Sims, and installing it again had solved my problem.
