Some pretty bad CTDs on Battle for Middle Earth 2.
Well, I'll make this short and sweet, guys. I've been here in the past and you guys have been a big help to me. But now I'm getting more errors and they're pretty annoying.

I play a mod for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King. And the mod just came out with a 1.06 release. It adds hours upon hours of new content - indeed, it seems like it becomes a whole new game with this mod. Updated graphics, new units, new unit skins, new powers, new heroes...hell, even new factions. But enough of the advertisement. (Its called RJ-RotWK if anyone wants to check it out - just search it up on Google or Yahoo)

Anyways, I get an error whenever I try to play.
--EDIT HERE-- Its not really when I try to play, its when I'm in the middle of a game. The error only happens when I'm in the middle of a battle or building something. Not particularly when the computer is under any amount of strain, it seems like its always at around the same time. Twenty to thirty minutes into the game.
Now, I think it might be that my computer just doesn't have enough physical memory. But this is weird to me, because I looked into the games minimum specifications and it said you should only need around 500mb RAM to play this. I'm running a full GB, but then again, that really isn't enough. My graphics card is also way more than required: it says a 64MB graphics card, well, mines 256MB.

Before anyone asks, my video drivers are 100% up to date (I updated them the day before yesterday) and DirectX is at DirectX 9.0C. I'm running Windows XP.

I've had this problem on this computer for a long time. I ran the game on a much worse computer for ages but I never got this error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, I've asked people on the forum of the mod for help, I've looked on the internet for solutions...you guys are my last hope.

Without further ado, here is the error. I can post a HiJackThis log if anyone needs it, also.

Direct3D error 0x0x8007000e (E_OUTOFMEMORY)
5 addresses:
(unknown)(0): game.dat+239838 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+1175111 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+1250978 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+1251591 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+1395115 (unknown)

Anyone know what the problem is? Game.DAT errors are a real pain, but they're much worse when you're in the middle of a game and you're kicking some tail only to get slammed with a CTD and an error. =\ Thanks for your time all! Lets hope the Techguy forums can come through for me again!

New edit--

I got a new error. This time, it was SEVEN addresses...

Direct3D error 0x0x8007000e (E_OUTOFMEMORY)
7 addresses:
(unknown)(0): game.dat+239838 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+1175111 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+1250978 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+977999 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+713777 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+1122295 (unknown)
(unknown)(0): game.dat+920343 (unknown)

Because of the severity of this error, the game will now exit.

So now I'm getting two errors. They're pretty much identical, except for those last four Game.DAT errors. =\ I'm going to try reinstalling again right now. Anyone mind helping me? Please?

ANOTHER Edit. --

After reinstalling, I started the game up. It ran for a bit longer and it was quite smoother, but it ended the same way. I got the Direct3D E_OUTOFMEMORY error again (7 address version) and it crashed to desktop. I'm personally about 80% sure its because I don't have enough memory for my computer, and the game just eats it up quick because of the huge amount of content and graphical updates and changes added by the mod. Maybe I'm just grasping at straws, but hell, I've got to do something, you know?

Can someone out there, any one of the twenty plus people who've looked at this thread (as I write this update anyways) give me some tips or pointers that I can try out, to see if they work?
