Angry Strange FPS Problem
Hello, here is a quick run down -

Dell Latitude D530 <--- laptop

Ok, I play Guild Wars and I have been having a bad fps problem. Its gotten so bad to where the game is unplayable. 3-7fps. Earlier today my charger fell out of my laptop and I didn't notice it, all of a sudden guild wars was nice and smooth! fps was around 40-50! So I plugged the charger back up, fps goes back down... I unplugged, goes back up!

Weird, huh? I was thinking maybe something in my power setting? But what?
Also, I am using a generic charger for my laptop as in, not one from Dell.

What could the problem be?

Wait, you're charging your battery while you're playing? Or do you mean your battery fell out? It would make sense that the computer parts might be set to run at slower clock speeds (MHz/GHz) when the battery is plugged in, or when it is low on juice. But I didn't think that you could actually charge your battery while using it...Does your laptop have a function where you can charge the battery while it's inside while using an AC adapter?

Well, I play while the AC adapter is plugged up. The adapter is what I'm referring to when I say I 'pulled it in and out'.

I'm still confused :|

I would make sure it is the right kind of adapter, for sure. Contact Dell about it, or something. The computer might be able to run with it, but it may not provide enough power, hence the computer automatically running slower due to less power, I think. The correct adapter should not give less power than the battery.
