Your latency is 240 ms you say... Where did you find that out? Where does it say so? Does your XBox say that while testing connection or what? 240 is pretty high, so you probably won't do that well because of the major lag, probably will even get dropped from games.

What kind of an internet connection do you have? What's your router model?

Latency under 50 ms is best for online gaming. I usually have under 30 ms, and it usually works.

depends on the game, if your playing a fps then you need 50 or below. However if your playing strategy you can have it pretty high without problems, 150 and It doesn't make too much difference.

Yup, its enough to play XBOX live but I will guarantee that you will not enjoy the lag if you are playing FPS. Strategy and puzzle are fine but I recommend you to get a better connection. Mine is around 20-

Lower lag is better, but higher wont necessarily make it umplayable. I play COD WAW on a US server, av pings are 30-50 and I always hit 120 odd, but still kick behind. For Xbox, its probably less of an issue, as the controls for FPS dont lend themselves to moving fast.
