3DO Army Men
My son just purchased an older 3DO game Called Army Men RTS. I cannot get this game to install under any circunstances. I have built him a GAME only computor runing XP pro SE. 2gig ram, 256 meg video card, 3.0Ghz P4. It has no malware as it is not setup for any internet use at all. No modem or network card. It is not running any anti virus software or firewall. Since it is only used for games I don't believe that there is any chance for infection.

The error message I get during the install process is:
error#0x80040707
Description.Dll function call crashed chkreqs.setup window

Since 3DO is no longer in buisiness I have no way to get any tech support.

The readme file says to check to make sure that the CD rom is running 32bit drivers and it is.

Any body have any ideas?

Since the OS requirements are Windows 95/98/ME, try running in Windows 95/98 Compatibility Mode.
