Fences etc have jagged edges even with AA
Hi guys

I recently bought a new comp with a hd 4870 sapphire.
Everything is fine , but some textures, usually small stuff, has jagged edges. And some times even bigger objects has flickering edges. It is noticebale when i movethe camera.Textures seem to flicker when i walk around or move any way in the game. And it is annoying .On some games it is extremly bad, like ArmA 2. Making it unplayable. But in Fallout 3 for example i can barely notice it. I have tried disabling AI on ati, refresh lock , taking forced anti analising off from CCC. And i have ran out of ideas to try.
Fences even in CCC 3d preview flicker

Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't be that then, but you might want to test, open the side door and point a table fan towards the graphics card.
Completely removing the drivers (uninstall, download Driver Sweeper, clean the remains in safe mode with it, download latest drivers from Ati site, install) could help, worth a try at least.
After that, RMA time, it'd seem.

This is normal in most games. It all depends on the type of AA used in the game or the type of AA you have forced in your driver control panel. For a better explanation look here..

Flickering is not normal. Jagged edges are, to an extent.

I was refering to the AA more then the texture issue. This could be down to heat but not once was a driver issue commented on. Try different graphics drivers (beta & WHQL) newer drivers doesn't mean better. Find one that suits your system.
