Exclamation Hl 2 Not Starting Up..
The Following Message Pops Up When I Click The short Cut..

Debug Assertion Fail

I Have Windows Vista, Maybe Thats The Problem Idk But Please HELP ME!!!
A Step By Step Guide Might Be A Little Helpful...

I Have An Hp Laptop With Vista (As Stated Above) And I Never Had This Problem, But I Guess Its Because This Games Ment For Previous Versions of Windows,
But Yeah You Need Any other Information Just Go Ahed And Reply.

try going to advanced options and type in -dxlevel 80 in the startup options

Either that or your computer is freezing on windows debug reports which is a completely different problem

have you tried checking in Tools>>Internet Options>>Advanced >>Under Browsing and unchecking the "enable debugging" and "display script errors" boxes?
The other option might be to stop using internet exploder and use Firefox instead..

Well It Seems To Be Unchecked! I'm Really Stuck Right Now...
And i Use Firefox More Then IE. Actually I Dont Use IE At all :P

Have you ran some sacns for malware?

Try a scan with Malwarebytes click on the free blue link on the page below and download to your desktop....install it and then update it and scan
