Hey guys, i've been having really bad lag spikes on ffxi recently that eventually crash my computer. I have a toshiba P105 sattelite and it's a laptop, so needless to say it has a very crappy video card(integrated chipset) but before i reformatted my computer it was running ffxi fine. I've since had to reformat because of a virus and this time around i installed SP3 and some anti virus software. But now when i log onto ffxi it will be fine for about 5 minutes then it will start getting jerky and eventually my whole computer will lag to the point where it just crashes and i have to reboot. I don't know what could be causing this since I have taken SP3 off and deleted some of the anti virus programs, any ideas?

Does your machine go to blue screen or simply reboots?

Make sure that you have every effect in FFXI turned down, laptops are the worst machine to run FFXI on, specially if your severe lag issues are in Campaign and or Besieged. When do you experience these issues?!?

Since its integrated, make sure you don't have anything running in the background as the video card will use the physical RAM to run.
