Solved: uninstall fails, re-install fails - what to do?
System info: Win XP Home SP3, 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 320 MB

I installed IL-2 Sturmovik Demo v. 2.0 via Install Shield.
I first tried uninstalling it (stupidly wnough, I know, don't need any extra comments on that) by removing all the files from the folder in question, AND all the registry keys I could find with Ubi Soft or Il-2 in them.

Now; The IL-2 Sturmovik Demo is NOT any longer in the Add/Remove program list in the Control Panel. When I try uninstalling (using Uninstall Shield) it claims that the file in original folder is not there (Uninst.isu). Agreed. Common practice dictates I re-install the program and try un-installing it again. Thing is, when trying to re-install, I get the message that the game is already there.

Finally, the Question:
How do I remove the program If I cannot re-install the program (see above)? Catch 22?

Never Mind - I had missed a registry entry. Sorry for that.
