There's nothing to do when it breaks down, even less when you pretty much break it yourself. | | Community Moderator with 32,947 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Texas Experience: cp/m --> | | what he said. You overheated it when you wrapped it in a towel, and probably cooked off something rather important.
Not sure if it's still under warranty or not, but I certainly wouldn't recommend mentioning that towel fiasco when I called to check. | | Junior Member with 11 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2009 Experience: Intermediate | | Call Microsoft if you still got warranty and DEMAND a new Xbox and get really pissed and they might give you Xbox:Live or a game. | | Distinguished Member with 24,683 posts. | | Join Date: Mar 2002 Location: Proud Brit in VA Experience: B.S. in M.I.S | | | | | Junior Member with 6 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2009 Experience: Beginner | | my warranty is over... wat do i do now? | | Senior Member with 866 posts. | | Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Long Island Experience: Hardware Wizard | | cry, and sell it on ebay... | | Junior Member with 11 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2009 Experience: Intermediate | | Quote:

I'd call MS, explain my plight (leave out the towel bit) and see if they play nice and offer to fix it for less than the price of a new one. | | Junior Member with 6 posts. | | Join Date: Oct 2009 Experience: Beginner |

#14 | ain't gonna get much though. You can sell anything on ebay; I know a guy who promised to think of the buyer once a day for a week, got a nickel for it.
But for a busted xbox? Dunno. May not fetch a nickel. | |
