Solved: BF2 Rank avdance problems

im having a problem with advancing in ranks. i always play ranked servers, but i dont advance or get the bagdes i earned.

can someone please help?

Hiya and welcome to Tech Support Guy

Sometimes it can take a few days for badges to be recognised. Are you getting the awards in the game, but then looking at BF2S or BattleTracker and noticing that you're not getting them?

If so, double-check when you get the awards in BFHQ, when you start up Battlefield 2. If its showing there, then you have them.

If not, which servers are you playing on? I see you're in Denmark, so there are plenty to try that are well known to be good.

First off, the Gotland servers are very good. Or, the TV2. These are both Sweden/Norway based, and my ping is okay with them (England).

Can you tell me which servers you are trying, as if they are well known clan servers, I may know them or the actual clan, as our clan speak to a lot of clans so we have many good friends out there

i use NRNS servers

Well, they are the old version, patch 1.01.

We're on patch 1.5.

Not even sure if they will rank you up. In fact, I'm not sure if any of those people on those servers will rank up.

A few are still on 1.41, which you can get ranks with, but the newest patch is where the majority are.

Any reason why you're on the original version?

In fact, I've just looked at one now in Tracker, and every person randomly I pick, are Privates.

No rank, because its not the latest patch.

If you go to Google and type:

patch 1.5 bf2

It should show you the one, but it is a 1.5Gig download

Firstly, you will need to update to patch 1.41, then onwards to 1.50.

It explains what you will need, and the links. But, the downloads are very large, so you may want to do this when you're not doing much online
