ARMA 2....fffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu-
Want to ask if ARMA 2 will be able to run in a laptop, just for the Christmas break.

Processor 2.0GHz AMD Turion X2 Mobile RM-70
Memory 3,072MB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz
Hard drive 250GB, 5,400rpm
Chipset AMD RS780M Azalia Controller
Graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 (integrated)
Operating System Windows 7

Now don't flame me for using the integrated sound/VGA, since I will be using the low settings for ARMA 2.

Any insights here?

depends... laptops are not suitable for games, due to the integrated video card... You may run it... but may be laggy.

go to www.canyourunit.com and see if the game is listed for you to check the computer for your answer.

Sorry about that but forget it...

ARMA 2 needs very fast hardware in order to run. I recently tried it on a system with an Athlon 7750 x2, 4GB RAM and a Radeon HD 4550 (low end but still faster than the integrated HD 3200) and it was a slideshow with everything on low...

However, there's a demo of ARMA 2 which you can try and see for yourself.

Thanks. I was guessing if I can run Battlefield 2 and run it on my laptop on medium-high settings, same result also for ARMA 2.

Well, time to fire up DooM, or MileyDOOM! Crazy WAD i found out on Youtube several weeks ago - Miley, Demi, Selena, and all similar artists as Doom monsters!

I know how laptops are crippled when put on par with desktops regarding gaming, but it really depends on what games do you really like and understanding your system's capabilities.

There's no other gratifying experience such as playing Counter-Strike Source and jammin' out to cybergoth music while you're on vacation on places such as Gatlinburg, TN (hint hint: frag-on-the-go!)
