Fallout 3 not starting
I got a copy of Fallout 3 GOTYE, to replace my existing Steam version as it was cheaper than buying the expansions. After installing, I got an error about cannot find 8050 or some such- didnt write it down. The fix apparently was to install the updated Windows Live, which I did. After that, I go to run it, get the loader screen, click play... then its a black screen and a windows crash. No message, just crashes. If anyone knows a fix, be appreciated.
And to forestall the obvious.. Yes, I restarted before trying, yes my rig is up to spec. Running Win 7, and nothing seems to work. from what I read, its a common problem.
Thanks all
