I've lost the booklet that came with my game Sims 3), so I cannot reinstall it without the serial code that came with it.

Here's what I have done to attempt findind it; in the Registry Editor:
I clicked "Run", typed "regedit", and, of course, pressed "ok".
On that page I clicked the folders for the Sims, and "(Default)" popped up on the right side. But when I double-click "(Default)", my Registration Code does not show; the only thing that pops up is a small window that says "Edit String", and that's only for editing the name of the file.

I've done the steps correctly, so why is it not working for me?
Please help.
