Which Nvidia driver from Acer site did you download?

When you recovered your system ...did it have most of the programs and drivers already install.....and did it have McAfee installed or did you put that on?

sorry for the late reply. Yes i download the Nvidia driver from the site and i also downloaded the one from Nvidia site (which turns out they dont have a driver for 240m alone but a driver for a set of hardwares).

when i recovered it, the installers for all hardwares and and programs are already installed except directX (doesnt include in the factory settings). Mcafee comes with it too. All I did after I recovered is update the Vcard from the Nvidia site, and installed a directX 11 and install all the games again (which took me very long time).

nope. as before i installed my games, it looked for a directX.I figured out that my driver has physX. I'm not really sure what physX is but i think it works like directX. I installed the 9.0c first but that ddnt worked, So i installed the directx 11 but it ddnt worked too.

it should? I thought directX only comes with the type of driver you have. When i looked at my Vcard, it is supported by PhyX is that a directX but only on a different brand?

You didn't download DirectX 11 it is already in Windows 7..........I would uninstall the Nvidia PhyX and uninstall your video card and any DirectX in the Control Panel Add/Remove and restart the PC and just install the video card driver from Acer site for you model and restart the PC.

If you have to do a recovery and install just on game and try it

Ohhh my Vcard drivers from both Acer site and Nvidia site are PhysX included. The games looked for a directx before i download one from the internet. That means that my Windows 7 doesnt have a directX that comes with it. I'll try to uninstall the physX so it will be just Nvidia driver + DirectX.

Ok. I uninstalled the driver, physx, directx. And downloaded the driver from the site. When i install the driver, the physX goes along with it in one setup application. Should I uninstall the physX? that would leave the driver alone

No.....but I think the game is playing in Enhanced mode and your laptop or Video card is having problems running it in that mode......so see if there is any setting to just use normal mode etc

I turned off the physX enhance (there is a on and off button) , Run a game, Crash
I tweak some Nvidia 3d settings, run a game for every tweak, Crash.
I dont know what to do know.

I really have no idea what to tell you.......that PC should run those games.........I would call Acer support and tell them something isn't correct.
