Honestly, i'm looking to buy whatever I need to make sure I never lag FPs wise so horribly in my games. I'm not looking for the cheapest thing to get but I can only spend 200 at the most.

Oh, from my understanding, you didn't want to spend $200. Download Speccy and post the results. I've built budget gaming rigs with Pentium D's before, and they can tackle and shred FPS games (including Crysis) on medium-high settings and still provide you with 25-30 FPS.

Yeah, all you need is a new CPU & MOBO. Anything you're leaning toward specifically? I'll help you pick out the MOBO if you let me know which CPU you want.

You have a great GPU and a sufficient amount of DDR2.

I really don't know anything about CPU's or MOBO >.< So, no, there's not really anything i'm leaning towards. I guess at this very moment i'll take any cheap one but also works well with the rest of the things I have like my video card. I'm trying to only have to buy a new CPU and Motherboard.

lag is from internet connection
lagging is from your internet connection, periodicly freezing like every 2 seconds is from proccesing. so if your truely talking about lag i would talk to your internet provider about upgrading your internet's speed

my recommendations for the best internet providers are charter or AT&T. AT&T came out with an offer to double your internet speed if your a customer with them for only 5 extra dollers a month

ping
your ping is what makes you lag. 100 to 50 ping is best but the lower u go the better, if your ping is about 200 up then your internet probably needs to be upgraded for real time playing,

the definition of ping is in milliseconds and the amount of milliseconds it takes to send and recieve packets of information. 1 "ping" is one milisecond that it takes to ping back a bit of info

when you send a "bit" of data it gets sent and updates and gets sent back hense "ping"

you may need to adjust your graphix settings in game and maybe increase the amount of "memory" your system uses as RAM on the hard drive

I've already tried everything possible in game to try and fix it, my friend told me about changing some stuff involving ram but when he heard I have a 1.8Ghz cpu and my OS being 32 bit he said that's my real problem. Something about my cpu not working as well as my video card wants it to? I think >.<

Your friend is correct. The problem is clearly your 1.8GHz CPU. If you are experiencing lag outside of online play, then it has absolutely nothing to do with your connection.

Alright so, what are the chances of me finding a better CPU/MOBO while still being able to use everything else I have?
