I'm trying to install The Sims on my new Windows 7 computer. I have all the expansion packs and I have installed them all in the correct order. All of them have worked up until the final one, "Makin' Magic." The trouble with this one is that whenever I put in the CD into the drive, the entire computer slows down considerably. The InstallShield Wizard gets stuck around the 50% mark for preparing Setup. After trying to copy the files, I thought that the disc was dirty or damaged (there are a couple of light scratches on it). However, I tested the CD on a different computer and I could open/copy any of the files on it. Is it possible for a damaged CD to work on one computer but not another? Is there a file I'm missing or something? Thanks in advance!
