I'd imagine you're able to on SOME, but 9/10 laptops you are unable to do so.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to answer your main question, the computer's specs aren't the greatest for the type of gaming you want to do. The games will run, but the settings they will run on are up for debate.

Try the site CanURunIt? to determine how well the games will play.

Are you experiencing lag (disconnects, delayed response, teleports while moving, trouble moving/using abilites followed by sudden jumps forward) or poor preformance (choppy framerates, freezing, long load times, etc.)

Both are commonly referred to as lag, but if its the former, there's likely an issue with your wireless connection (assuming that's what you're using on your laptop) or the internet connection itself (unlikely if the desktop is working fine).

If it's poor performance, then it's likely the laptop. Make sure that your power settings aren't set to a low performance setting (many have High Performance, Balanced, and Power Saver in the settings, Power Saver and Balances will likely cause poor performance for intensive things like gaming). If I had to hazard a guess, it's the fact that you have an Intel graphics chip, which often share graphics memory with the system RAM and aren't known for being very good, to put it bluntly.

I wouldn't quite say that. There's a reason the top gaming machines have 6GB+ of RAM. While even that amount may be overkill, 2GB isn't "more than enough" for more demanding games. Though again, it does depend on the settings you wish to play at.

shoutwity,

Try posting fewer threads with more information as opposed to more threads with less information in each.

But per your last post, I agree. It would be good to know what graphics card he has (if any). But I fear his graphics are integrated on the motherboard, and if that is the case, the games will not run very well.
