There's an entire industry built on mostly bogus claims that they have a product that will do basic system maintenance better than native Windows tools. A lot of these tools don't work well, and some are malware. Use them at your own risk.
Have to agree with Phantom010, that the Google Toolbar is mostly useless, but I'd expand that statement to include virtually all toolbars. Toolbars are also a popular venue for malware.
Silverlight is used to deliver a fair amount multimedia content, such as Netflix's player, and so far hasn't been as severe a security issue as Flash. |
