Norton 360
I run Norton 360 as a first line of defence. When it picks up say a tracking cookie or, as a present a High Security Risk mbsmon32 it quarantines them perfectly and stores them as expected in the appropriate place. When I click on the small blue print for 'more details' I get a breakdown of the scan - so far so good.

However at the bottom of that page I can click on another blue line to see what files have been removed which is also fine. They appear under the heading of 'Items That Can Be Restored' which usually would not be something I'd ever want to do. Instead, I'd be a much 'happier bunny' to clear that screen and know that my 6 Tracking Cookies and my High security risk have been cleared from my system. I know they are safe enough where they sit, butseeing them makes me uneasy.

Any ideas as to how you empty this screen completely and achieve the foregoing would be greatly appreciated for this and possible future repeats.

Many thanks in the hope that somebody out there will be more help than Symantec who have provided an answer to the wrong question in terms best understood by an expert technician. I'm simply not happy getting into 'registry issues' at all and certainly not without an expert on hand.
