On Rootkit Unhooker

Hi,

I installed Rootkit Unhooker yesterday on my computer but I have no clue how to use it. Is there any manual I can get my hands on (layman language) ?

Where did you get the install file?

Why do you want to run a Rootkit Scanner?

My computer doesn't seem to have any problems but I thought having some sort of antirootkit would make it safer. I installed Rootkit Unhooker but it's very technical. Thought it would be something simple to use. I don't understand any of it.

I think I would use one of the more common scanners noted here
