Illegal to Illegal Virus ?
Could any one tell me if it's illegal to disassemble a Virus ?

I have some ... xxx.exe trojan isolated; I know what it does very well, and I am stounded , which I want to disassemble to know which antivirus prevents it (and which not); with a solid argument; and prevent myself of fall in that trick again .

I know that in the License of almost every software software prevents to disassemble their code.

I would like to know if any one of you knows it ...
It's illegal to disassemble a Virus code and distribute their source code to Antivirus developers?

Thanks in advance.

Interesting question. Under copyright law, a virus is the intellectual property of the person who created it. If the virus comes with a EULA that states you may not disassemble or reverse engineer it, then you would not be allowed to do it.

We know viruses don't have EULAs, so go for it.
