Question Weird MSN Error Message - Need Assistance
Hi folks. I am SO glad to have found this forum! My laptop is giving me fits and driving me nuts.

Hubby and I use the MSN application to browse the internet. You know the one with the butterfly? Not that I don't love the standard IE but we are just used to MSN.

So, the program is working fine on our main computer but on our laptop we keep getting this obnoxious error message when we double click on the butterfly (shortcut or from the start menu)...

"MSN Archive: Checksum Mistmatch in the file themedef32.mar: popupmngr_progress.bmp"

I've done just about all I can with my skill level. I ran the spy software and virus check and it didn't find anything. I really have no idea what to do.

I appreciate any assistance or recommendations!

I encountered this issue today on a machine. I uninstalled MSN and then reinstalled MSN. The issue was resolved by this simple task. Give it a try.

If you do not have your original MSN CD, go to http://membercenter.msn.com/download.aspx
