Unhappy Yahoo phished
Can anyone tell me what I can do if my email accounts and passwords have been phished?

I attempted on 20 or more occasions to change my passwords but by the time I get into the new login screen and enter the new password its changed again. I have two email accounts with yahoo, one for billing accounts, and one that I've used for myspace. But both have been hacked along with my myspace. what can I do to block the phisher so I can successfully change my info?

I feel extremely violated. My bank account links as well as all my online billing info is in my main email account. I continue to be unsuccessful in getting thru to yahoo security. I am so scared that whoever this is, now has my lifes history in the palm of their hands.

Everyone keeps telling me the same thing, which is change your passwords to your emails and myspace, but if I cant even get into to them, how can I change them. Is there some time of antiphishing software I can use to block them long enough to go in and change my info?

Sincerely, Lovethelaw

The first thing I would do if you can still login to the account is delete any bank and/or credit card account information. If you don't have a non-Yahoo email, I would get one, either gmail or hotmail so you have a secure email account. Then email Yahoo security from that account and explain what happened.

Hmmmmm.
well, i cant change or delete anything b/c i cant even get in. each time i try to reset the password the phisher re-changes it first. Its like she/he is watching my keystrokes and sees what Im doing. I need to find a way to block this person from seeing what im doing in order to change my password. I get through to the point of verifing who I am then get the new password, then copy and paste it in the sign in area, but by the time I click sign in, the screen starts flashing over and over again, and I cant get thru to the page.

So, I guess what im asking is: Is there a way to block a phisher from seeing what im doing, once I've already been hacked?

It's hard to say what exactly is happening, I'd send an email to Yahoo from an alternate account.

Unhappy tried that
i have a new acct with a different mail server, so I sent yahoo a message regarding the issue as well as myspace, but I am yet to get some type of resolve. Can you tell me if there is a program to block phishers? And what other protection can you apply if you have already been hacked or phished other than emailing yahoo and myspace fropm a new account.

Like is there some protocol once your info has been stolen? I thought I had all the protection I needed, for example, I have Spybot Search & Destroy, SuperAntiSpyware, & AVG. what else can I do? Are there settings that I am not aware off that I can change to block this person from seeing what Im doing?

You may have a keylogger backdoor trojan downloaded on your computer (Virus that records keystrokes).

If none of your spyware programs are detecting it, it is either hidden or you dont have one. I suggest you go check your computer in the Malware forum.

Right now, your should go to start>all programs>accessories>accessibility> on screen keyboard. This lets you type by clicking. Now you should go to yahoo and click forgot password. recover it and change the password everything using the on screen keyboard.
