Unhappy Lost all network devices after Zone Alarm Install
I just installed an update to Zone Alarm, 70.408.000. I've been using ZA for a long time. After installing, system required a reboot. The system hung during the boot, saying that it couldn't complete the reboot and if I'd installed new software did I want to go back to the last good point. After three tries using the existing setup, I said yes. The reboot completed and Zone Alarm appeared to have installed successfully. Unfortunately, I've lost access to all my network devices including my wireless card, modem, LAN connection.

I deinstalled Zone Alarm and rolled back to my last good version, 70.337.000. This, of course, didn't change anything.

The system is WinXP SP2. I also use Norton Antivirus.

Any help vastly appreciated!

I have managed to recover the wireless connection but cannot get the icon to show in the system tray. In fact, although the device shows in device manager, it does not show up in Network Connections. Without access in either the sytem tray or the Network Connections, I can't manage the connectivity to different networks.

Some research shows that this is sometimes a problem with XP, but I haven't seen anyone say how to fix it.

Okay, found that the drivers for my LAN connection, wireless and firewire connections were all gone. So, reloaded all drivers. This fixed the wireless display issue, but Network Connections doesn't show either the LAN or the firewire connections. Any ideas how to get them to display?
Thanks.
