computer messed up
hello,

so just a few day ago, one of my computers went haywire, and i have no idea how to fix it (which i guess is why im post here haha). on start up, all the colors are very messed up and it seems the resolution is out of whack because everything is so big. at first i thought it was a video card problem, however an error pops up that says "Error loading C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll". could anyone please explain how i might get this problem fixed?

Much thanks ahead of time!

I am not sure if there is anything more than just that without looking at any log from your computer. However, if the error is all you are worried about, it looks like WildTangent may not have been properly uninstalled/removed. What you could do (a roundabout way) is to reinstall WildTangent and then properly uninstall it.

On the other hand, read this (I found based on a google search):
Let us know if that helps at all..

i'm more worried about getting the display to work again. It looks like a computer in safe mode only with the colors all messed up. The error started appearing at the time when this started happening, so i thought maybe it had something to do with that. but i have no idea.

Hi biltonguy08,
You might want to take this thread to Malware Removal threads as I am no expert but I can see a couple of problems in your hijackthis log (from my own personal experience with nasties) that will need specialist care to remove properly. You look like you either have a virus or malware. Have you done any antivirus/antispyware scans and what have they found? Have you tried an online Panda Scan or Trend online scan?It wouldn't surprise me if you tried to perform one and it wouldn't work properly, which is also an infection indicator.
Regards Paula :S
