Can you get a virus from doing Remote Assistance
My dads computer was running a little slow and he asked me to look at it and see if he was in need of updates - Its fairly new and I thought it woudl be ok - well I ran avast on it and it seems hes got quite a bit trojans and possibly a virus on it - I want to makeo sure I can not get infected by doing remote assistance. Please let me know.

Also, I liked Avast seems to not slow the computer down like AVG - anyone have experience with this?

Remote assistance is normally one-way so you should be ok. But, always check your firewall settings. And, how does AVG slow down the computer? Is it at boot-up?
