norton internet security stopped me accessing the internet

i could not access the internet via internet explorer with norton turned on, but with it turned off there was no problem

BlackMirror was asking did Norton ask you for permission to let IE access the internet? And did you click 'allow'.

Also, is your subscription up to date?

Norton may stop your access if it isn't.
