Exclamation D-Link Encrypting HELP!
OK here's my problem. I just got a D-Link router, and I have no idea what I am doing. I am runnning a Windows XP Compaq laptop, and i wanted a wireless network so that i could go on the internet where and when i wanted to. it is installed properly, but I don;t know what model it is! I also CANNOT encrypt it with a network key. I also don't know if it takes WEP or the other one! I know like nothing about compuets, and I need help because I have heard about people that got hackedd, and I really dont want that to happen to me. I need to get a password on here fast. for right now, i have made it invisible to other people, but that wont bee good for long. HELP! PLEASE!

Please tell us what D-Link router and Compaq laptop models you have. And if I understand correctly, the laptop is already working with the router... you just need help setting up encryption?
