Question Solved: Install Flash player / can't remove McAfee
Hi,
I have not been able to download Flash player. I've talked with people who say I have to remove or shutdown any firewalls. Yesterday I purchased a new AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware - Trend Micro. When I asked about installing and trying to get Flash player installed I was told to remove all anti virus programs, but to keep my Webroot spy sweeper on.

Trying to remove McAfee security suite I get a message "Legacy programs must be removed first." Here I'm stuck - what are they and how do I remove them?

Am I on the right path - removing all antivirus software before trying to get flashplayer and then installing the new Trend Micro antivirus software? Would this be the right sequence to follow?

Thank you!

Hi,

When I clicked on the url you attached I got this error message:
Error: 1146 Table 'majorgee_mac.esselbach_st_dlweekly' doesn't exist

When I tried to Private message you I received a message telling me I was not able to send PMs yet. I just recently became a member - possibly there is a waiting period?

Thanks!

Hi,

I really don't know what I'm doing! I finally got to the site you recommended "majorgeeks" and even in that site and with this message:

Using McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool:
- Double click the MCPR.exe
- A Command Line window will be displayed, and then close automatically.
- Wait for a second Command Line window to be displayed. Note: Do not double-click MCPR.exe again, you may have to wait up to 1 minute for the next window to appear.
- After the second window appears, the program will begin the cleanup.
- Observe the installation, which could take several minutes. The following message will be displayed in the Command Line window: The machine must reboot to complete the un-installation. Reboot now? [y.n]
- Press Y on the keyboard.
- Wait for the computer to restart.
- All McAfee products are now removed from your computer.

I can not find where I'm supposed to double click the "MCPR.exe"

Still in the dark...

Thanks!
