Question Multiple AntiVirus
Need clarification on an issue. I've heard that running more than one anti spyware program on a PC is a good idea, but have heard conflicting advice regarding antivirus software. What's the real deal?

Sorry...I wasn't clear on my original post. My question regarding antivirus is whether it's ok to even have more than 1 "installed" on the pc?

You can have more than one anti-virus program installed on a hard drive, but should not have more than one of them running at the same time.

You can have more than one installed, as long as the installation process didn't install an "always active" task in your startups, or as a Service program.

What you do not want, is two AVs that are active at one time.

the big deal having multiple anti-virus is that i'll slow down the pc and you'll will get tired of waiting to load.

It is my understanding that multiple anti spy ware programs is okay... more than one anti virus no....they will fight, besides using up a lot of the resource on your computer.
