internet explorer shutting down.
my buddy says that when he opens a second ie window, and then closes it, all of his ie windows close. he says it then asks him if he wants to send an error report. i havnt seen it happen, i was just wondering if anyone recognized this problem, and had some solutions. i can get more details, when i take a look at his machine. thanks, in advance.

If you are talking about the new IE, I had exactly the same problem, I took it back using System restore, then reinstalled it again a few weeks later and had the same problem. So I am left with the older IE 6

Hi all,
I found that after I did my usual automatic updates about 2 weeks or so ago, my Internet Explorer 7 kept closing down not allowing me to do anything but that Mozilla still worked. Stupidly, I left it for a few days just using Mozilla instead then things gradually got slower and my computer kept freezing on even simple tests. I had to go back to a restore point from before 12 October then I had no further problems. Something weird happened after those updates that played havoc with my computer.
Since the restore point, everything is fine again.A couple of my mates had the same problem-one reformatted as she didn't think to system restore and the other did the same as me, with the same result.
Regards Paula
Regards
