installing nortons
i am attempting to install norton antivirus 2008. however i have norton 2007 installed as well. i was prompted to uninstall 2007 which i did using add/remove programs in control panel. 2007 is still there and everytime i try to install 2008 it brings up the same message to remove 2007. also 2007 is still in the taskbar. i tried turning it off and then try to install 2008 but same result. how can i get rid of 2007 so i can proceed with the new installation. i have windows XP. Thanks.

no norton is not listed in the start menu. why is it so hard? i installed 2008 using the same disc on my desktop which had 2007 installed without any trouble whatsoever. the disc i have is for 3 PC's. Is it really that hard to remove? sounds like norton wants to make more money b/c to renew subscription it costs around $90 so i bought the software through my dads corporate account for $30.
