My wireless
have a quick one here, I have a wireless router using WEP, but WEP is not 100% full proof right? So my question is should I change to WPA??? My reason for not switching immediately is because my router is in my home in an apartment building on the 8th floor. So is it true that to be able to crack my wireless you would have to be on my floor (basically, outside my door cause my range sucks)?? you cant just access some ones wifi from across the street right?

thanks

I always imagined the range of a router as a sphere, so someone from below or above might also access your router, not just those on your floor. WEP is easily crackable, and the tools to do so are freely available. So if you have WPA then you should use that.
