N360 Ohhh Boy
N360 runs fine on my XP, but absolutlely fails at being anywhere near a decent program on my Vista computer. First it was liveupdate and the error 5 message (which I fixed with the help of this forum) and now N360 decides it's not going to work at all.

I spent probably 4-5 hours today between chanting with support and talking on the phone with India. Then they say we can't figure it out so we'll CHARGE you $99.95 to transfer you to a North American techician; I said I wasn't going to pay to fix something that should of worked in the first place.(Frustrating to say the least) I would really like to dump Symantec and their pile of junky programs; but considering I've paid for a subscription and still have 242 or 224 days left, it would be foolish to throw them to the curb now. (Don't have that kinda money to waste)

I do plan on dumping them when that subscription runs out. Until then I need to figure out a way to make N360 work... the error it returns after everytime that I install it and/or when I start my laptop is: "Symantec Framework stopped working and has been closed" (That's the windows error) and "N360 is unstable restart your PC to ensure stable operation" (N360 error message)

IF anyone has insight into how to fix this problem, any help would be much appericated.

Norton 360 is not ompatible with Vista yet. Symantec was more worried about getting an AV ready for it. I would call customer service(or email them) and ask them if they will convert the money you spent to a subscription to just AV '07 or '08. Or they may even just refund or money. Like I said only Norton Anti-virus is compatible right now, but more programs should be compatible soon.

Did you call them about it not working prior to the 60 days? If so you could argue that since it wasn't working then and that since tech support couldn't get it working and that since it isn't Vista compatible, you might be able to. Its worth a shot.

They must have just listed it. But just because it say it is compatible doesn't always mean it is. Symantec is pretty good about giving a refund if there product doesn't work. Just tell them the product isn't working and you want a more stable product that does.
