Post security question ... HELP!
if you are behind a wirless router and log onto a website, will your physical IP be viewable by the website admin or just the IP that your wireless router gives?

I did an IP trace yesterday and it gave the public IP and also 192.168.1.3, which I assume must have been the assigned IP of a machine.

I'll PM you with your IP, for example.

Every place that you are connected to on the internet has access to your IP address. The prevention of people using that information to get into your machine is the whole purpose of having firewalls.

but does your IP change or is it always the same? and I have Comodo firewall ... is that a good firewall?

Comodo is very good.

Unless you signed up for a "static" Ip that never changes so that your friends can sign on or something, the IP changes from time to time. If you have dialup, it changes every time you connect.
