Solved: Superantispyware keeps getting blocked at bootup.
I use SUPERAntiSpyware and nod32 together and I find the have kept my system clean for about 6 months. However SUPERAntiSpyware is always blocked from opening and always needs permission from me to open (User Account Control) after a reboot even though I have it checked run as administrator. I have Vista Home Premium.

An inquiry with their support went nowhere. I suspect it is because they do not have the necessary agreement under Vista with Microsoft for it to run as a recognized program. In Defender under Software Explorer it shows as not digitally signed.

Just wondering if anyone else uses this program and has the same issue with having it blocked and then having to give User Account Control permission to run after a reboot. It is the only program on my system that requires this and I sure would prefer if it didn't as it is annoying and I sometimes forget it is blocked as the only way to know is the small icon on the taskbar.
Thanks,
G

You only want one running all the time.

Well that is interesting and very helpful.

Superantispyware pro I figuered was more of a anti spyware program and nod32 for antvirus. Maybe with nod32 version 2.7 it was like that but looking at nod32 veresion 3 which I just upgraded to it does seem to say it blocks all malware.....
I did get the idea to use both programs together off this site about 6 months ago but can't seem to find that thread.......

So, you are saying I need one only and if that is the case I would use nod32 as it is a paid version, offers both antivirus and spyware protection and I prefer it............

That being said, I do not have a firewall program installed, therefore I am relying on Vista.
I don't see a firewall with nod32.

What firewall would you or anyone else suggest to go with nod32 if you think I need to add one or is Vista's protection enough alone with nod32? I don't want a firewall that brings lots of hassles with certain programs. Thanks.

You could still have both but not both running or running all the time. So let say you want to keep nod32 running all the time then your need to Superantispyware to only run when you want to do a scan so your have to keep it from loading at startup.
