Anti Virus Software
My anti virus security subscription is finished on my laptop. The laptop is linked wirelessly to the internet. Which anti virus software should I buy?

Read #2, #5 & #8 ... http://www.techsupportalert.com/best..._utilities.htm

I use the free stuff ... AVG, Zone Alarm and Winpartol ...
then pay for Acronis True Image ... http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing...cts/trueimage/
And backup my Operating System to a USB External Hard Drive.

This even protects me when Windows get corrupted for no good reason.
Takes me about 30 minutes to fix anything .. including a crashed HD.

Read this, you may find it interesting:

http://anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

NB! this is for ANTIVIRUS only, look at Bitdefender's top ranking, ok thats fine but don't buy the whole package - their firewall sucks, litteraly!

@Noyb:

You mention backing up your Operating System to a USB External Hard Drive. What's the advantage of doing this and how would i do it?

I saw you lurking behind your Monitor ... Welcome Aboard.

You can restore your computer back to the way you like ...
EXACTLY the way you had it when you made the recovery data image in your External.
I can recover my OS in less time than it takes to read the recovery DVDs...
Not too mention all the M$ updates and programs I would need to load.

Using ... http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing...cts/trueimage/
The trial DL is fully functional for 15 days .. and the users guide is here also.

Go fetch a Trial .. take a look ... and holler back .. (Now that you've figured out how )

Better purchase price ... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832200004
This'll make you a full fledged member of TSG

Here's a review .. but it's an older version of ATI ..
