Unhappy 'Folder Acess 2' password
Hiya there,

It has been a while since i lasted posted a thread. From what i have read in the forums my computed knowledge is limited compared to other members so please with me. I have two problems that i am unable to resolve.

Firstly, i used Folder Access 2 on my pc to restrict access for other users. I locked most of my family pictures in a folder using folder access. After a few day I tried to access it the icon changed to a clipboard with a tick and when I open the folder it opens up the control panels icons. I reinstalled the folder access from the internet but no joy. Can anyone suggest any solution.

Second point is for a friend whose pc does not load xp. It gives option to start up in safe mode, last correct setting etc., but when pressing safe mode it goes back in a cycle and does not load. Is it a virus?

I would appreciate if anyone can help particularly the folder access problem.

Thanks.

Try uninstalling the program.

Thanks I uninstalled and then reinstalled the the application. I then read in the forum to drag the folder into the application icon. It did the trick.

Thanks.

For your friend's problem, he should do "best last working settings" option or normal start up, safe mode is for certain other things.

We have done that but still it does not work. We tried last working setting, safe mode etc. I am guessing with my limited IT knowledge its probably a virus or something like that.

Well, that is a possibility, but it isn't the only one.

Sometimes, not being able to load a OS is a sign of changes to drivers, corrupted files, virus's, Memory problems, and other multiple reasons.

Do you possibly have a recovery/repair disc?
