Solved: problem with spybot
i have used spybot for years with no probs,but now.......

installed on new laptop (running vista) and most of it works ok....but when trying to immunise it says i can only immunise so much as i do not have administration rights!!!!

there is only one account set up and on checking it says i am the administrator.....im confused never had this problem before

Checked, where?.. Under Computer Management, Local Users and Groups, Users?

Edit: NM it's vi$ta you're using... takes some configuring/running things properly.

under user account is where it said i (the only user account set up) was the computer administrator..........and if it is vista....any advice.....had no other problems with hardware or software as yet when setting up

problem solved!....from googling its quite a common problem with vista.....administrators dont actually have these rights in day to day working with programmes....they are asked each time...apparently it is a secure feature of vista......

anyhow all you have to do is right click on the offending program and tick the box where it says run with admin rights and hey presto it works.......

Vista has a built in safeguard that for "Security reasons" messes up user accounts.
It should be a feature called "UAC"

I'm so glad I didn't get Vista
XP is still the best, Microsoft messed up with Vista.
