Question Network Antivirus programs
We are a nonprofit organization with a small network of about 25 computers. Our server is running MS Exchange Server 2003 while the workstations are running Windows XP Pro. We use Sonicwall as our firewall. We have been using Symantec for our antivirus program but would like to change. We have been looking at AVG Internet Security SBS Edition, Sophos Security Suite SBS 2.5, and Kazpersky Enterprise Space Security. Does anyone know how these work in a network environment or any opinions on which is best or we should avoid. Thanks.

I would also look at NOD32 eset its a great program they just released a new version which includes a small personal firewall(dont know if this would conflict with your current one), Anti virus, Anti Spyware and an anti spam module. It also doesn't hog to much memory compared to the likes of Norton

Take a look here:

My company uses McAfee: http://www.mcafee.com/us/small/produ..._advanced.html

You want something that integrates with your Exchange server, distributes updates automatically, and protects you servers as well as workstations. It gives you a control panel and reporting. It will work fine with SonicWall, in fact that is what we are using. But check out the links that I sent as well.

Thanks. We looked at NOD32 but it was a bit too expensive for our nonprofit organization.

Thanks for the links. I will look at them. McAfee, too, is a bit too expensive for a nonprofit organization.

Well let me know if you need more help on research. Keep this in mind, the cost of a computer specialist to come out and resolve a nasty network infection will cost much more than the software. I charge on the low side @ $65 per hour, and I would probably have to spend the better part of 4 hours onsite to resolve a distributed computer virus like the ones a small Business Network would get. Also, what is the type of data that you are protecting? That is also a major consideration. If you have a clients personal data on your network their is a legal responsibility. If you go cheap, and get sued, bye bye non profit.
