So I get home from work today to get on my computer I left on, and I see MSN, Yahoo, and Windows Live Messenger have been opened up and I know I didn't open them, I'll give a HJT log if needed but anything odd about this? I closed MSN, Yahoo, Windows Live Messenger, and internet explorer which was there all before I did the HJT scan.

I do not see anything in the log that would explain this. Are you sure that no one has access to your computer? Do you have key board short cuts set up for these sites? I would wait and see if it happens again while you are home and can watch the computer over time.

Do you have a pet? Particularly a cat although I won't rule out others (except fish). Many years ago when I came home from work I followed a police car that turned onto my street. My thought was that maybe one of my neighbors had a problem but I was shocked when it stopped at my house. I pulled in behind it & found that they were responding to a 911 call. The call was placed but the dispatcher couldn't hear anyone on the phone. They hung up & tried to call back but nobody answered-so they sent the police to check.

Total mystery until we saw our cat walk across the phone, which was on a desk. Speakerphone with '1-touch' speed dial into which we had programmed 911. When the speed dial button was pressed with the handset down it turned on the speakerphone & dialed the number.

So, if you have keyboard shortcuts & a cat....

Sorry bout the long wait guys, long bathroom story so no need to describe I suppose, anyways no I don't have a pet cat, but I have a pet roommate who apparently doesn't know how to get onto the internet and I quote "Just started clicking things to see if it brought him to the internet", it's a mystery how he didn't know how to access it on my computer and has perfect ability to do it on his, and why he though 2 Messenger programs were... oh yeah, forgot, shouldn't ramble on like that. Anyway, he's going to have a long talking to about how to not access anybody or anything in my personal accounts. This is why I'm saving up for what I call and ungodly expensive computer.
