Best Free Virus and Spyware scanner?
What is the best and free spyware and virus scanners for Windows XP?

free
i never say it is the best but a lot of people at techguys use them. i use avg7.5 free ,comodo free firewall , free super antispyware and free spyware blaster. you can get them all at this site.

avg 7.5 (antivirus)
zone alarm OR kaspersky (firewalls, your choice)
spybot S&D, adaware 2008, super-anti-spyware, etc. (spyware/adware)

the above are all free. i personally use macaffee total protection does literally everything you could ever want security wise, but you have to buy it. whatever you do, do not get norton under any circumstances.

I use Avast Anti-virus Home Edition (Free).
I like it more than AVG Anti-virus, but that's a matter of taste as both are good and get the job done.

For me I don't really use Security software due to low HDD I have but I think that all of you ask before are pretty good. But only a question is AVG is very good anti-virus???
