Exclamation Zone Alarm causing internet lag - screenshot errors attatched!
When ever ZoneAlarm is turned on it makes my internet (and computer) very sluggish and half of the time the page doesn't even load. But when it's turned off it works great. For some reason lately when ever I had turned on my computer ZA would ask me to allow/decline "explorer.exe" when ever I would turn on my computer.. which it never had use to do (I always clicked accept)

Also this last screen shot randomly started popping up every time I turn on my comp, was hoping I could find a solution for it!

1)

2)

3)

Which with this one (#3 ss) it pops up but it says the files are missing blah blah .. so it doesn't' work anyways.

Help is greatly appreciated!!!

Well the zonealarm doing automatic scans is normal, although you can turn them off in the settings/preferences.

If you wanna completely stop it from starting when you boot do this

Start>Run>msconfig

Then go to Startup and look for the ZoneAlarm entry and UNcheck it.Then click OK and itll ask you to reboot. It's recommended to reboot.

And by the way, explorer.exe is the process that turns on your taskbar and your icons.Without it you're left with a wallpaper image.

If you ever get stuck with a wallpaper image and your computer doesn't seem to be doing anything do the following:

CTRL+ALT+DEL>Open up TaskManager>go to the applications tab>New Process>type "explorer.exe" (without the quotes)

If nothing works..then wait for a real techie to help out

And btw,nice AlienWare
