AVG 7.5 Update issues
Recently my AVG version 7.5 free ANti Virus software has not been able to connect to the server for automatic updates. When logging on it tells me that my update manger is out of date and so to is my anti virus software. for months I have not had an issue with this doing it automatically when I log on but recently it has become an issue with my Broadband connection.

When I go into the settings and change my connection to use the dialup option it connect and downloads okay ..... albeit a lot slower?

Somewhat frustrating!!

Maybe your firewall is blocking it from going outbound

After doing some AVG updates you have to give them rights again in your firewall so if you did this but did not ok the new rights to AVG then it can not get out.
With Zone Alarm you can delete the AVG and then open AVG again so it will ask you again.
