Norton Identity Safe
Whenever I start my browser using Start, Run, Favorites, URL, Identity Safe is not available. In fact, the Norton Tool Bar is turned off and cannot be turned on by right clicking the toolbars and clicking Show Norton Toolbar. If I start Internet Explorer (Start, Run, Internet Explorer) Identity Safe is available and the Norton Toolbar is visible. I am using XP SP2 with IE 7. All updates from Microsoft and Symantec have been applied.

I have checked the usual issues, i.e. Active X allowed, Norton Toolbar is enabled via the Manage Add-ons menu. I have also ran a registry scanner and confirmed there are not any corrupted entiries. I have also uninstalled the software, cleaned the registry and reinstalled with the same results.

I did send an email to Norton Support and received a broken english reply stating that Identity Safe does not work when IE is started from a shortcut. I have hard time accepting this because this is a 3 user pack and I have installed this software on 3 machines. On the other two computers, Identity Safe and Norton Toolbar work fine from shortcuts.

Any assistance with be appreciated.
