Lost Desktop Icons
May be some one can help? My securiety system found a trojen and deleted it just to make sure I ran ccleaner some were in that process I lost my desktop icons no worrys just set a restor point and start from fresh . No way there was no reset point only that day so I did a reset from the last safe time but that did not fix the problem. Every time I did a reboot no Icons,a box came up saying no personial settings found. So I thought put in windows disk to do a repair and restor any thing I may have damaged no luck did a full install but still no Icons . So out with that hard drive and in with a new one and started fresh I sill have the old hard drive to pull of things I need. If I can restore that hard drive that would be good so If any one can please help good.???

well since you have done a complete install, the easiest thing to do now is to plug in the old hard drive as a slave drive and copy things off from it.
