wireless router help
hi I have a wired connection, but I need a wireless for my PS3 to connect to the internet because it's so much more practical. I've been told I have to buy a wireless router in order to do this, and my internet provider have said that it will cost me £60. Now i know i can get a much cheaper one than that from PC world. BUT I used to be on BT broadband, and I still have the wireless hub thing, is there any way I can use that as a wireless router for my other internet? if so how?? because i've tried setting it up and I'm able to detect it on my PS3 but it comes up with "server connection"

thanks alot.

If your wireless hub is just a router and not a modem/router combination then there should be a ethernet out port that you can use to connect to your broadband modem. As far as getting your PS3 to connect with it properly, I don't own one so I can't offer any advice there.

Also model numbers of your modem and wireless hub would be helpful so we can google and see their specifications.

yes you might need the specs off of the modem, your ip address and ect. to manually set up the specs on your ps3, i dont own one, however i know 360 's can be like this.
