problems down loading windows updates
I am unable to down load Window's Updates and get the error message 0x80072EE2. I have tried various things as advised by Microsoft but without success. Please help using .

There are some Windows systems that Microsoft no longer supports with updates. Which OS do you have?

Windows XP pro sp2.

I managed to download some software updates but failed with security updates due to error 0x80070643

What anti-virus program do you have and does your computer seem sluggish or has anything been happing that is out of the ordinary?

I use PC Tools Spyware and Registry Mechanic. The computor is sometimes sluggish.

You'll also need an anti virus program and a firewall. Check the third thread in this forum called "Security Help Tools" posted by CookieGal. Download either AVG or Avast and check for virii. Run whichever program you decide and let us know the results.
